Easter chick cake pops!

Cake on a stick beats cake on a sheet. Don't you agree?
This weekend I'm going to my mother in law's family reunion and decided to bring cake pops in the shape of a cute little chick.From the book "Cake pops" by Bakerella. As for the cake recipe I will do a sour cream yellow cupcake recipe from the book "Cupcakes" by Elinor Klivans.

Recipe follows.

1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp baking soda (Why baking powder and soda?)
1/4 tsp salt
1 large egg
1 egg yolk
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 cup sour cream

Preheat oven at 325F

Combine the egg and yolk, sugar beat until until thickened.
Slowly add the oil and vanilla until well blended.
Add the sour cream until no white streaks remain.
Now add all the pre-sifted dry ingredients until the batter is smooth.
Bake for 15 min.
